How to Build Your Motion Graphics Portfolio?

Written by Dice Academy | Jun 26, 2024 9:07:47 AM

Demonstrate Technical Proficiency

Your portfolio should showcase your mastery of the most-used tools of the trade. Include a variety of projects that testify work done on industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects and Premiere Pro.

Choose Quality Over Quantity

Avoid overloading your portfolio with every piece you've created. Only include 5-10 of your best projects. Each piece should demonstrate different skills and styles. Focus on quality over quantity – a few outstanding pieces make a stronger impression than dozens of mediocre ones.

 Tell an Engaging Story

For each project, briefly explain the brief, your approach, and the final outcome. Engaging project descriptions add context and depth to your displayed works. Explain the objectives, challenges, and solutions involved in your projects. Highlight your design process and how you approach problem-solving. This makes your case stronger.

Get Inspired

We have curated a handful of reference portfolios for your perusal. Go through them, pick up nuances and incorporate them into your own graphic design portfolio.
